Nak kongsi my bad experience with my Espace starter.
Raya Aidilfitri yang lepas, my starter faulty, takleh start tow gi workshop. The stator found crack. Mekanik elektrik tu suggest sebuah Mitsubishi starter, sama saiz. So install at cost of RM320.

Last week, ada bunyi bising masa start, so hantar la ke mekanik elektrik tu balik. The starter body found crack. Dia try repair tapi still bunyi bising. So, order sebuah Valeo recond starter. Install, bunyi bising lagi kuat. Next day, mekanik tu try another recond starter,pun bising, lagi bising dari mistsubishi starter. So he installed back the Mitsubishi and repair the solenoid. Dah dekat seminggu, so semalam saya amik dalam keadaan masih bising and cost me RM220. Dalam kepala, dah suspect flywheel worn out, tapi harap2 takla sampai effect flywheel. Ambil dari mekanik tu, saya terus ke JB hantar ke Ariffin. This morning, Ariffin did confirm my flywheel damage, what a nightmare. Pinion gear starter dgn flywheel not really match and damage my flywheel.

Check the price; brand new flywheel RM1500, brand new starter RM600++ campur labour cost turun engine and replace the seals... korang leh estimate la berapa aku akan kopak bulan ni, jsut because a simple mistake, wrong starter. An expensive lesson for me, tak berani lagi tukar part yang tak original especial bila involve engine. So, apa pun lepas ni lebih baik tunggu order Valeo starter instead of using other brand.

Salam,

FLYWHEEL ialah satu komponen berbentuk leper dan bergigi mcm sprocket motosikal tu. Ia di skru pada CRANKSHAFT. Flywheel berada diluar enjin dan tiada kaitan dgn myk enjin.

Gigi gear pada STARTER akan memusingkan gigi Flywheel semasa proses start (cranking). Apabila enjin telah hidup, suis dilepaskan dan gigi gear starter tidak lagi mengenai gigi Flywheel. Gigi starter akan berehat manakala Flywheel akan terus berputar.

Set CLUTCH akan di skru pada Flywheel utk transfer kuasa dari enjin ke Gearbox.
