What is RTEC Air Booster ?

How does RTEC Air Booster works ?

RTEC Air Booster is an air booster chamber where it stores the
incoming air and boost the air into the manifold system. RTEC Air
Booster also acts like a sub servo brake pump thus enlarges the quantity
of air to store more vacuum. This theory effect will increased the
performance and the pressure of the braking system. It seem like you had
converted to a larger servo brake pump (costly) or converted your rear
drum brakes system to disk brake systems (costly).

Because the effect of the RTEC Air Booster is to create a better
suspension of fuel molecules in the mixture you get an improvement in
the combustion process. In other words you get a better bang - or more
bang for your petrol. This makes acceleration smoother and more rapid
and has cured flat spots in the rev ranges of numerous sports cars.

The RTEC Air Booster is used by tuners of performance engines and on a
number of competitive touring and sports cars because it incorporates
the same 'swirl' technology now commonly used in high performance racing
engines.

Turbulence in the inlet manifold (as produced by the RTEC Air Booster)
is also known to reduce fluctuations in operating efficiency and flat
spots caused by petrol vaporization at high temperatures as well as the
effects of performance tuning through high lift cams and competition
exhaust systems.

On almost all non performance cars the first experience you will get
from the RTEC Air Booster is considerably improved throttle response.
Improved engine pick up is the first symptom of better more efficient
combustion.

If you do not use all the benefits of this improved combustion in
tearing around at twice your normal speed you will notice a significant
improvement in petrol consumption - especially at motorway speeds.

Independent figures and 'real world' tests show that, on anything other
than the very newest vehicles, improvements in petrol consumption of 15%
are commonplace.

Because you get a better bang you also get a cleaner bang. Because the
fuel molecules are more evenly suspended, more of them are burnt
properly so you get less hydrocarbon (a pollutant that is effectively
unburned petrol) and because less petrol is burned you get less carbon
monoxide

Another benefit of less pollution is less exhaust and engine corrosion,
particularly carbon buildup (through hydrocarbons and soot); so your
engine and spark plugs should run at peak efficiency for longer and your
exhaust system (and your catalytic converter if you have one) will last
much longer.

RTEC Air Booster has developed the oxygen mixer which is designed to
improve the efficiency of petrol engine vehicles by enhancing the
combustion process. Such improvements in combustion result in lower
emissions, better petrol consumption and better engine performance.

Conventional combustion theory is based on the smooth flow of induction
and exhaust gasses. In the old days if you wanted to improve your cars
performance you might have your head 'gas flowed' - this basically
involves polishing the inlet and exhaust ports to make the gasses flow
faster. More recently however, F1 engine development has involved what
has become known as 'swirl' technology. This contradicts old notions by
suggesting that turbulence in the induction gasses creates a better
suspension of fuel molecules and thus more effective combustion.

The RTEC Air Booster can be fitted directly in the inlet manifold or to
a vacuum servo/breather hose close to the inlet manifold. It is an air
booster chamber construction which boosted air into the manifold at
certain specific pressures. This will create the turbulence necessary to
produce such a dramatic improvement in combustion efficiency. Such
improvements more than overcome the slight leaning of the mixture and
practical experience has shown that many engines actually run cooler
with the device fitted.
