kenyataan bangang dari seorang Ketua Setiausahanya......memang la kadar pelupusan rendah kat malaysia sebab kereta yang sama kat luar depa jual murah jadi ramai yang mampu beli kereta baru tapi kat malaysia ramai yang mampussssss nak beli kereta baru.....

KUALA LUMPUR: Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri (Miti) semalam menjelaskan tarikh pelaksanaan pemeriksaan mandatori bagi kenderaan penumpang persendirian berusia lebih 15 tahun bukan 1 Januari 2010 seperti dilaporkan.

Ketua Setiausahanya, Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Mamat, dalam satu kenyataan semalam berkata, tarikh pelaksanaan itu hanya akan diumumkan selepas Kementerian Pengangkutan menyiapkan pelan jangka panjang Dasar Tempoh Jangka Hayat Kenderaan (ELV).
Abdul Rahman berkata, penyediaan pelan jangka panjang itu akan mengambil kira pandangan semua pihak melalui perbincangan bersama persatuan pengguna dan badan bukan kerajaan (NGO).

Miti merujuk kepada beberapa isu yang dibangkitkan orang ramai mengenai pemeriksaan mandatori tahunan sebagai syarat bagi pembaharuan cukai jalan untuk semua kenderaan berusia 15 tahun atau lebih dan pemansuhan secara berperingkat pengimportan alat ganti dan komponen terpakai di bawah Kajian Automotif Nasional yang diumumkan pada 28 Oktober 2009.

Abdul Rahman berkata, tujuan utama kerajaan memperkenalkan pemeriksaan mandatori tahunan itu adalah untuk memastikan setiap kenderaan adalah selamat dan sesuai digunakan serta tidak bermaksud kerajaan mahu melupuskan kenderaan berusia lebih 15 tahun.
Katanya, kenderaan itu masih dibenarkan berada di jalan raya sekiranya lulus pemeriksaan keselamatan, malah sekarang pun, pemeriksaan seumpama sedang dilaksanakan bagi pertukaran hak milik kenderaan persendirian dan pembaharuan cukai jalan bagi kenderaan perdagangan.

Pada masa ini, ada 2.7 juta kenderaan penumpang melebihi usia 10 tahun, merangkumi 14.5 peratus daripada keseluruhan kenderaan berdaftar di negara ini.

"Berbanding Australia, Amerika Syarikat, Korea Selatan, Indonesia, Thailand dan India, Malaysia mempunyai kadar pelupusan kenderaan lama yang rendah dan purata usia kenderaan yang tinggi," katanya.

Miti juga berkata, pemansuhan berperingkat pengimportan alat ganti dan komponen terpakai akan berkuat kuasa pada Jun 2011.
"Langkah ini hanya membabitkan alat ganti dan komponen terpakai yang diimport saja dan ini selaras dengan usaha jangka panjang kerajaan untuk tidak membenarkan lagi pengimportan produk automotif terpakai yang standardnya rendah dan tidak selamat," katanya. � Bernama

saya pon perasan gak perkara ni, kereta di negara kita mahal, kenape terjadi
begini.. kerajaan pon satu, perkara macam ni tolong la ambil berat sikit,
dengan menurunkan harga kereta, semua org dapat beli kereta baru yg lebih
terjamin keselamatannya (bergantung pada cara pemanduan masing2), tak perlu
kereta atas 15 tahun tiap kali renew roadtax kene cek kat puspakom, buang
masa, mcm la bos nak bagi cuti, so akhirnye wujud lah middle man yg akan
tawarkan perkhidmatan bawa kereta ke puspakom, rakyat jugak yg kene kuar
extra charges... ni la kot yg ditekan oleh dasar automatif, name mcm gempak,
tapi tah sape2 la yg outline dasar ni

at least tak boleh ka harga kereta di langkawi dan labuan jadikan standard
harga kereta di seluruh malaysia, jiran2 kita (indonesi and thailand) semua
dapat pakai kereta best2, sy tahula, dah duduk di negeri bersempadan ngan
thailand ni.

at least consider la turunkan harga kereta mcm di pulau bebas cukai labuan n
langkawi. saya setuju hapuskan AP kenderaan import ni, diorang untuk atas
angin je, cube la buat somting innovatif mcm naza tu, at least dpt gak
pindahkan teknologi dari negara korea.

jgn la marah ek, sy bukan pembangkang, ahlil umno lagi, cume seorang rakyat
yg frust dgn status quo sekarang ni, pepatah ada kata, hujan emas di negeri
orang, hujan batu di negeri sendiri,... tapi kan biar la hujan emas kat
tempat kite la pulak, asyik nak hujan batu je, that is loser talk
