Cars based on other cars
Nowadays, it's a common trend to build a number of vehicles from a single platform. It's a strategy adopted by many manufacturers to save cost while offering more models to the ever-increasing needs of the current market. We have compiled a list of five vehicles that have been created based on other vehicles. We have included more humble offerings like the Proton Inspira to the the downright insane Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.

Proton Inspira
Based on: Mitsubishi Lancer
Though many consider the Inspira as a lancer knock-off, the Malaysian made car is far from it. It's basically a Mitsubishi Lancer but what Proton has done is allow a small company from the UK known as Lotus, to have a go at the suspension. So what you get is a car that handles properly and since it looks like a Lancer it will often pass of as one too.

Perodua Myvi
Based on: Daihatsu Boon
Perodua and Daihatsu have enjoyed a long and prosperous joint venture for many years. The previous generation Myvis had a lot more in common with their Daihatsu counterparts than the current car. Today's Myvi has the same body panels, but underneath things are a little different. The 1.5-litre engine that's offered with the EXTREME car comes from Toyota while the interior is tailored to the Myvi.

Ford Focus ST
Based on: Ford Focus Hatchback
Comparing the two would be like comparing night and day. The Focus ST is a very different kettle of fish to the Focus. Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine the Focus ST is the hottest of the hatches on sale today, it offers razor sharp handling and cornering ability this side of a Ferrari 458. Priced just shy of RM209,000, the Focus ST is probably the performance bargain of the decade.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
Based on: Mitsubishi Lancer
Both the Inspira and the Evolution are based on the same car, but the two are worlds apart. One is a family saloon while the other is a 4WD fire-breathing monster that just feels at home on a muddy rally stage as it does on asphalt. Under the exterior of a fairly docile Lancer, lie a slew of electronic systems that are just as complex as the ones on a space shuttle.

Mercedes Benz E63 AMG
Based on: Mercedes-Benz E-Class
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is an ideal executive sedan for the modern exec wanting something classy yet practical. These are attributes that the E63 AMG tries its best not to have. The 6.2-litre V8 engine pumps out a colossal 525bhp, which means it, will offer unbelievable sideways action and a magnificent sounding V8 that will make you wonder why they bothered fitting a stereo.

Jika baca tajuk rencana ini secara sepintas lalu, mungkin ada orang merasa pelik. Tapi, jika diamat amati dengan teliti ia memang lojik. Ada kebenarannya.

Mengapa? Kerana kata ustaz ustaz yang membicara isu puasa bulan Ramadan bahawa muntah tak sengaja tak batal puasa, kecuali sengaja muntah.

Dengan kata lain, jika dikorek korek atau dijolok jolok dalam tengkuk dan muntah boleh batal puasa.Ini tidak rasa pelik kan, kerana kita biasa dengar cakap ustaz, itu boleh batalkan puasa.

Oleh itu awas, jangan menggunakan jari secara sembarang dalam bulan Ramadan ini, kerana angkara jari boleh batal puasa seseorang.

Seperkara lagi yang hendak penulis sebut dalam rencana ini, ialah ingat dan awas, jari ketika basah berak.Kita kadang kadang lupa angkara jari kita boleh batal puasa kita.

Mengapa tidak? Kadang kadang jari kita ketika basah berak masuk ke dalam dubur. Masuk dengan tidak sengaja tak batal puasa.

Akan tetapi jika dimasukkan jari dengan sengaja untuk fungsi korek korek agar lubang dubur jadi bersih dan lebih bersih boleh batalkan puasa kita.

Ingat, jika kita masukkan jari dengan sengaja dalam dubur kita kerana ia boleh batalkan puasa. Mungkin ada benarnya cakap orang tua tua dulu yang larang kita mandi sungai, takut takut air masuk ke dalam rongga, termasuk rongga telinga.
